Steel Magnolias is a comedy-drama stage play by American writer Robert Harliner about the bond among a group off Southern women in northwest Louisiana. The title suggests the "female characters are as delicate as magnolias but as tough as steel" and specifically references a magnolia tree the women are arguing about at the beginning of the play.
